Gavin D’Souza

Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Physiotherapy, Diploma of Manipulative Therapy, Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Science. Gavin’s passion is to provide you with excellent physiotherapy. A service that you can have the confidence of being among the very best available in New Zealand. Since graduating in 1990 Gavin has completed many different post-graduate qualifications and courses and attended various professional conferences. His 20+ years of experience includes working with New Zealand’s elite athletes (at Olympic and Commonwealth games level) and a wide variety of people in his rural physiotherapy clinic. As well as elite athletes Gavin enjoys working with large industries, businesses of all sizes and people in a variety of jobs and sporting levels and codes.

Amanda Foster

Masters in Health Practice with Distinction (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy; Sport & Exercise Science); BHSc (Physiotherapy)

Amanda has been practicing physiotherapy since 2005. Amanda particularly enjoys treating shoulder and lower limb injuries, using a number of ‘hands on’ techniques including massage and manual therapy.
Amanda completed her Clinical Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2011. This advanced training has provided her with the most up-to-date assessment and treatment techniques which she uses in her day-to-day practice to help her patients achieve the best possible results.

Kirsty Mourits

Masters in Health Practice with Distinction (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy & Western Acupuncture); BHSc (Physiotherapy)

Kirsty completed her physiotherapy training at the end of 2006 and has worked in the private practice setting since graduating. Kirsty completed her Masters in 2011 and has an interest in sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation, manual therapy, massage and acupuncture. Kirsty has always worked in a rural setting and now resides in Morrisville, she enjoys the diverse nature that small communities have to offer. In her spare time Kirsty plays netball and is otherwise kept busy with her young family.

Kyle Turvey

Kyle graduated from AUT in 2013 and joined our clinic here soon after. He has an interest in all sports and particularly enjoys integrating exercise into his treatment plans. Kyle has worked as a team physiotherapist for the Waikato U16’s and NZ harlequins U17’s rugby teams. Outside of work Kyle enjoys cross-fit style gym training, particularly the functional movement principles it emphasizes, and also helps teach the beginner classes at his gym.

Matt Kent

MSc Physiotherapy
Matt finished his physiotherapy training in 2016 in the UK, having completed his undergraduate degree in Human Biology prior to that.  Matt previously worked in a musculoskeletal outpatient setting within the NHS service in the UK before moving into private practice.  Matt has a strong interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of shoulder injuries, with an emphasis on exercise based treatment plans.  In his spare time, Matt enjoys gym training and playing rugby.
